YOUR NUMBER ONE RESPONSIBILITY AS A BUSINESS OWNER IS MARKETING!

I see a lot of business owners doing so many things. They seem to be everywhere doing everything. But the most important thing they should be doing, they aren’t doing it.

I want to tell you categorically that if you don’t have any customers or clients, you don’t have a business. Your product or service may be superbly excellent but if you don’t have paying customers or clients, it’s merely a hobby!

Therefore, your number one responsibility as an entrepreneur is GETTING CLIENTS! This means that marketing should be your UTMOST PRIORITY!

And there are two broad aspects of marketing: I call them the PUSH CYCLE and the PULL CYCLE!

PUSH, here, refers to all those marketing activities that involve dumping your product or service in the face of prospects, asking them to buy! And PULL involves all those marketing activities that do not directly put your product or service in clients’ faces but that seem to draw them towards your business with the sole aim of getting them to buy. And this is where CONTENT CREATION falls into.

Both types of marketing are absolutely important for every business. (I will be talking more about them in other posts!)

But the bottomline is that you should begin to engage with prospects. Start working! Nothing works until you make it work! People won’t just start calling for your products or services by default. You must make it happen. Put in the effort! That’s how it works!
