A Website is a Business Asset — Like a Manufacturing Equipment!

A website is a business asset. It is like having a manufacturing equipment. Now, that manufacturing equipment could be sitting in your office doing absolutely nothing, or it could be manufacturing products for you that could be sold for money. However, that equipment will never operate itself. It will never make itself work and produce money. Someone has to intentionally study how it works and then force it to do what it was designed to do. And this is exactly how a website works!

You see, so many business owners create a website and then begin to hope that somehow it would start bringing in clients for them. But that is absurd! It is so funny! It doesn’t work that way! First, you have to understand how a website works, and then you must begin to engage it correctly. And then, after a period of time, you’d start seeing results.

“After a period of time?” Yes! Nothing works all of a sudden. Everything that becomes massive takes time to produce. This is not a get-rich-scheme! You don’t set up a website today and begin to benefit from it tomorrow. If you get into it with that mindset, you will be terribly disappointed. But if you get a website, understanding that it would take time to begin to work (being willing to put in all it takes to make it work) then you have more chances of benefitting tremendously from it.

In case you forgot, I want to remind you that Amazon, Alibaba, Jumia, YouTube, LinkedIn, tiktok and the others are simply websites. But they didn’t become massive all of a sudden. It took a lot of work, strategic thinking, resources, efforts, and patience to get those websites to what they are today. Nothing just works! You have to make it work!

In today’s world, anything, business or organisation that cannot be located on the internet doesn’t really exist. And every business without a proper website isn’t yet serious about staying relevant in this ever-changing technology-driven world.

All the best!
